This home on a lake in southeastern Maine was designed to capitalize on the view. The primary bedroom has wide doors that open to the sunroom, exposing the scenery beyond. The kitchen, great room, and loft also have optimal views of the lake on either side of the natural stone fireplace and chimney. Two additional bedrooms were added in the walk-out basement to accommodate guests or a growing family. This customer chose to use tongue and groove boards in place of drywall between the beams of the mid-floor.
