Final Plans Example
"We had an estimate to complete the home from our general contractor and we were about to get our building permits, so we gave Habitat our final deposit. Habitat ordered our material and started cutting and assembling the pieces so it would be ready for delivery as soon as our contractor could get the foundation in and have the site prepared for delivery of our Habitat package."
The Habitat Contract
At this stage, we have received signed plans from you and foundation and cross section plans have commenced by Habitat Post & Beam. A contract is prepared for your specific project and the balance of the deposits is due: 15% of the package price less deposits already received (and in the case of small additions and commercial buildings, 25% of the package price less deposits already received). The contract specifies your material choices, enabling Habitat to order your materials in time for delivery. Upon receipt of the signed contract, engineering plans, shop drawings, and a list of materials that coordinates with the final plans will be completed. Your material package is scheduled for production and a delivery timeline is determined. At this time we will require a detailed map and written directions to your site.
